A project for dance in the urban space
The project has been conceived by different arts organisations based in Italy and France. Four regions (Piemonte and Liguria in Italy, Rhône Alpes and PACA in France), a common interest in dance and the urban space, a shared intention to collaborate. The main objective has been to give a concrete opportunity to artists to relate with an unusual contest and exchange their body languages one another.
LUOGHI COMUNI invests on new production and touring. Each partner chooses one or two young choreographers/dancers, orders a creation in the city environment (a common element to every city, such as fountains, steps, shop windows, buses, phone boxes, etc.) and then makes them touring. Every year the productions are hosted in the network cities and they can be presented as a specific event or as part of a festival.
